About
I am an elementary school technology teacher in Farmington Hills, Michigan. I teach students to use technology to:
-
effectively express and communicate information, ideas, and experiences to a variety of audiences
-
create materials of value
-
learn about their world
-
connect with others both in and outside of the classroom
-
apply their learning in the subject areas
-
teach others
I place a strong emphasis on digital citizenship and making choices that are safe, responsible, and respectful when using technology and when online.
As an educator, I strive to integrate technology and content to help students build technology skills, 21st century skills, and skills in the subject areas. I also take pleasure in being a role model and guiding my students’ character development.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, an Educational Technology Graduate Certificate, and a Professional Education Certificate. This summer (2014), I will complete my Master’s degree in Educational Technology.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, being outdoors, singing, playing the piano, salsa dancing, traveling, and volunteering.

This Fourth of July, I helped my grandmother celebrate her 100th birthday.
